Although both oils are cooking oils, so have comparatively higher smoking point than other oils. But as far as both the oils are concerned, rice-bran oil has a higher smoking point i.e. 490 degrees Fahrenheit, than olive oil which has a smoking point of 360 degree Fahrenheit. Higher smoking point implies healthier cooking as oils with higher smoking point do not lose their essential nutrients in the process of cooking.

Both oils are excellent cooking oils and have benefits of their own; it is advisable though to use any oil in moderation. As rice-bran oil is not a good source of monounsaturated fats which are the healthiest among all forms of fats, the food cooked in this oil is not absorbed as easily as in organic olive oil.
